Assam CM Reviews Preparations For Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit In Khanapara

During his visit, CM Sarma examined the ongoing construction of seminar halls, pavilion halls, exhibition spaces, dining areas and other facilities being set up for the event.

GUWAHATI: In order to review the arrangements for the upcoming Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma paid a visit to the Veterinary Playground in Khanapara.

Government officials accompanied him to inspect the venue, which would host a number of events during the summit. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the two-day summit on February 25, while Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will attend the closing session on February 26.

During his visit, CM Sarma examined the ongoing construction of seminar halls, pavilion halls, exhibition spaces, dining areas, and other facilities being set up for the event.

Before the visit, the Assam CM chaired a review meeting at Lok Sewa Bhawan with ministers and senior government officials to finalize the arrangements for the summit and the Jhumoir Binondini event, where the Prime Minister will be present. The meeting focused on preparations such as venue arrangements, accommodation, food, seating, and the inauguration and closing sessions.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of showcasing Assam’s cultural heritage while highlighting the state’s investment potential. He expressed confidence that the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit would help drive economic growth and attract investment. He also mentioned that the Jhumoir Binondini event would give a global platform to Assam’s traditional dance.
