A 30-year-old married man, Ritu Mura, was discovered deceased at a wedding venue in the Silpeta area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Samaguri Police Station in Nagaon district. According to reports, Ritu had been attending a wedding at the residence of Sanjay Terang in Silpeta last night.
His family, residing in Nibukali Navajyoti Village near the Rangalo Police Outpost, received a distressing phone call around 9 PM, informing them that Ritu was found on the floor with multiple stab wounds. They quickly transported him to Nagaon Medical College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The victim’s family has alleged that Ritu’s death was a premeditated murder, suggesting that he may have had a confrontation with someone during the wedding, which could have led to the violent incident.
The police have initiated an investigation and have detained three individuals for questioning. A post-mortem examination has been completed, and the body has been returned to the family. Ritu’s sudden passing has left his family and the local community in deep shock. It is noted that he had been married for two years and had a two-year-old son.
