BOKAKHAT: Several accidents transpired last night in Bokakhat, leading to the tragic death of one young man and leaving three others with serious injuries. The initial incident occurred on National Highway 37 near Ikarajan, where a stationary 709 truck (registration number AS03CC7582) was struck from behind by a WagonR vehicle (registration number AS09F0876).
The collision caused significant damage to the front of the WagonR, which became wedged beneath the truck. Despite the efforts of local residents and the deployment of a crane to free the vehicle, the driver, Ankur Bora from Lakhoujan, Bokakhat, was pronounced dead upon arrival at Bokakhat Shahid Kamala Miri Civil Hospital. The second accident took place in Borjuri, Bokakhat, involving a head-on crash between two motorcycles.
While returning from the weekly market in Sapjuri, one motorcycle (registration number AS05Q9153) collided with another (registration number AS05W3463) traveling in the opposite direction. This incident resulted in serious injuries to three young men: Bikram Hemram, Raj Baske, and Raju Hajda, with Bikram Hemram reported to be in critical condition.
