Assam: The remains of a resident from an old age home have been donated to AIIMS in Guwahati

Rajkumari Das, a nonagenarian woman without a home, who had been living at the Niribili Old Age Home in Mangaldai for approximately one year, has passed away.

MANGALDAI: Rajkumari Das, a homeless woman in her nineties, died on Sunday at Mangaldai Civil Hospital due to age-related health issues. Lacking family or a place to call home, the authorities of the Old Age Home opted to donate her body to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Guwahati for the advancement of medical science. In accordance with government regulations, her body was transported to Guwahati today. It is worth mentioning that Rajkumari was rescued from Dhula in Mangaldai a year ago and had since found refuge at the Niribili Old Age Home.
