Yash is poised to begin filming for ‘Ramayana Part 1’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi

Pan-India sensation Yash, renowned for his blockbuster film ‘K.G.F.,’ is preparing to commence filming for ‘Ramayana Part 1’ next week in Mumbai. To mark the auspicious beginning of his involvement in this mythological saga, Yash will first pay a visit to the esteemed Shree Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain to seek divine blessings.

The cast of the film also includes Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor and actress Sai Pallavi. Yash has a tradition of initiating every new film project with a visit to a temple. This particular visit holds special significance, as Yash portrays Raavan in ‘Ramayana Part 1,’ a character known for his devotion to Mahadev. In addition to his acting role, Yash is co-producing the film through his production company, Monster Mind Creations, in collaboration with Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios. As an engaged co-producer, he has been closely involved with the team in all facets of this ambitious project and is expected to begin filming his scenes by the end of April. The cinematic epic is produced by Namit Malhotra and is anticipated to be the most ambitious mythological film in Indian cinema to date. Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, the film promises rich storytelling, state-of-the-art technology, and a cinematic vision aimed at redefining the mythological genre for a global audience.

‘Ramayana Part 1’ is scheduled for release on Diwali 2026, followed by ‘Ramayana Part 2’ on Diwali 2027. In addition, Yash is also set to star in ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups,’ which is slated to hit theaters on March 19, 2026. This film is notable for being the first large-scale Indian project that is conceptualized, written, and filmed in both Kannada and English, blending diverse cultures and continents. It will also be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages. The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas, recognized for her emotionally impactful, award-winning films.
