A fire in Sial Chapori, Golaghat, has resulted in the destruction of the residence and kitchen belonging to Majuli Pachung, impacting three families.
NUMALIGARH: A tragic fire erupted last night in Sial Chapori, situated in the Brahmaputra River area under Ward No. 9 of Dicai Gaon Panchayat, Mohura Mouza, within Golaghat district. The blaze completely consumed the main house and kitchen of Majuli Pachung, the son of the late Baburam Pachung.
Reports indicate that three families resided in the same dwelling, and the fire is believed to have started in the kitchen. The fire was detected around midnight by the householder after the families had finished dinner and gone to bed. He promptly raised the alarm, facilitating a safe evacuation for everyone.
Regrettably, they were unable to salvage any possessions. The farmer’s family suffered the loss of stored mustard, black gram, savings, clothing, and other valuables due to the fire. The affected family estimates that the total value of the destroyed property exceeds three lakh rupees.
