In Golaghat, a woman sustained serious injuries after being attacked by her husband. The incident occurred on Tuesday in Bengenakhowa, where Jyoti Tamuli was violently assaulted by her husband, Ashok Tamuli, using a sharp object.
Despite her severe injuries, she managed to escape and reached the Golaghat Police Station, where authorities promptly took her to the hospital. The police administered initial care at the Golaghat Civil Hospital before transferring her to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital for more comprehensive treatment. Jyoti’s father, Maheswar Saikia, subsequently lodged a complaint against Ashok Tamuli at the Golaghat Police Station.
