In a strong display of indignation regarding the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal, Biswanath District Committee, organized a protest at the Biswanath Chariali town intersection on Friday. Numerous affiliated organizations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), including Hindu Jagran Mancha, Kalyan Ashram, Assam, and various other Hindu groups, participated in significant numbers.
The event commenced with a tribute ceremony where VHP Biswanath District President Sapan Rajkhowa and Secretary Indrajit Gupta lit a lamp and offered floral tributes. For approximately two hours, attendees voiced their outrage by chanting slogans and displaying posters that read ‘Down with Pakistan,’ ‘Down with Islamic terrorists,’ and ‘Stop atrocities on Hindus,’ among others. The program was also attended by Biswanath Municipality Chairman Amar Jyoti Borthakur, Behali MLA Diganta Ghatowar, and other dignitaries.
