In response to the Pahalgam terror attack, Arijit Singh has canceled his concert in Chennai to express solidarity with the victims

Singer Arijit Singh has declared the cancellation of his forthcoming concert in Chennai, originally set for April 27, in a gesture of respect and solidarity with the victims of the recent terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In a message posted on his Instagram Stories, Arijit shared a note from the event organizers, indicating that the concert has been cancelled to honor the victims and their families. The note stated, ‘IMPORTANT UPDATE.

In response to the recent tragic events, the organizers, in conjunction with the artist, have jointly decided to cancel the upcoming performance scheduled for this Sunday, April 27th, in Chennai.’ Additionally, the note reassured ticket holders that they would receive full refunds, which would be automatically processed to their original payment method. The attack in Pahalgam has elicited widespread condemnation, with numerous Bollywood figures expressing their grief and outrage.

Celebrities such as Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Kareena Kapoor have extended their condolences to the victims and their families. Furthermore, music composer Anirudh Ravichander has also delayed the ticket sales for his Hukum Tour in Bengaluru, citing the current national circumstances and the tragic events in Pahalgam.
