KGF star Yash was seen on the set of the forthcoming “Ramayana” alongside the renowned stunt director Guy Norris in newly unveiled behind-the-scenes images. In these images, Norris is observed assessing a scene with Yash, who is set to portray the demon king Ravana in the film. For those unfamiliar, Guy Norris has served as a stunt coordinator and second unit director on films such as “Mad Max: Fury Road”, “The Suicide Squad”, “Ghost in the Shell”, and the “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy. This marks the second occasion on which Yash will collaborate with a Hollywood stunt director.
He previously worked with JJ Perry, recognized for his contributions to the John Wick series, for his upcoming project, Toxic. This film is a two-part series, and Yash is reportedly scheduled to film for 60–70 days for “Ramayana: Part 1”. The Ramayana draws inspiration from the Indian epic, narrating the tale of Prince Ram and his battle against the demon king Ravana of Lanka. The film is among the most eagerly awaited releases of 2026. Ramayana has an estimated budget of Rs 835 crores ($97.4 million), positioning it as one of the priciest Indian films ever made. The film will be helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, acclaimed for directing hits like “Dangal” and “Chhichhore”.
The cast is star-studded, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Kunal Kapoor as Indra Dev, and Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara. “Ramayana: Part 1” is currently in post-production and is anticipated to premiere in November 2026, while “Ramayana: Part 2” is in the filming stage and is expected to be released in November 2027.
