Bokakhat offers a sincere homage to the distinguished poet Anubhav Tulasi

BOKAKHAT: A significant number of individuals from the intellectual community of Bokakhat paid homage on Tuesday evening to the distinguished Assamese poet and literary figure Anubhav Tulasi, who sadly passed away on the same day. The tribute ceremony was collaboratively organized by Bokakhat Puwoti Xahitya Xabha, Bokakhat Subdivisional Poets’ Conference, and Bokakhat Sandhani Lekhika Samaroh Samiti. In the evening, prominent figures from Bokakhat’s literary and intellectual circles convened at the premises of Bokakhat Puwoti Sahitya Sabha, where they illuminated ceremonial lamps in front of a portrait of the late literary figure as a gesture of respect.

The tribute program, which was led by Namita Bora, the Secretary of the Bokakhat Puwoti Sahitya Sabha, commenced with a one-minute silent prayer for the eternal peace of the departed soul. Throughout the event, various speakers conveyed their grief over the poet’s demise and characterized his passing as an irreparable loss to Assam’s intellectual and poetic landscape. Brief discussions regarding the life and literary contributions of Anubhav Tulasi were presented by Pranjal Hazarika, a prominent young storyteller and journalist, Kalpana Chetia, the former President of Puwoti, Jitu Sharma Rajkhowa, the President of the Assam State Journalists’ Association, Amar Sharma, the President of the Golaghat District Poets’ Conference, and several others.
