A cyclonic storm occurred on Sunday morning, resulting in damage across various regions of the Goalpara district. The storm uprooted both small and large trees in and around the areas of Eidgah field, Bhalukdubi, Borpahar, and others.

The storm uprooted both small and large trees in and around the areas of Eidgah field, Bhalukdubi, Borpahar, and others. Consequently, a tree fell on a parked motorcycle at Boro Bazar, and a signboard fell on a vehicle outside the V2 shopping mall in the town. Fortunately, no casualties were reported from these incidents.

Additionally, several areas including Lakhipur, Matia, and Dudhnoi experienced similar occurrences of fallen trees and minor damages. The uprooted trees in the Eidgah area caused damage to four electric posts, leading to a complete disruption of the power supply in the town. Furthermore, electricity supply was halted in Agia following damage to a transformer.
