The highly anticipated teaser for “Raid 2” has finally been released, featuring Ajay Devgn reprising his role as the intrepid IRS officer Amay Patnaik. In this installment, he embarks on his 74th raid, targeting an astonishing Rs 4,200 crore scam.
The teaser is filled with thrilling action and suspense, highlighting the intense confrontation between Ajay’s character and Riteish Deshmukh, who portrays a formidable politician. Ajay shared the teaser on his Instagram, teasing fans with the caption about the scale of the operation and announcing its theatrical release on May 1, 2025.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, and directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, “Raid 2” also features a talented cast including Vaani Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Supriya Pathak, and Amit Sial. This sequel follows the successful 2018 film “Raid,” continuing the narrative of Amay Patnaik as he tackles another significant financial fraud, inspired by real-life income tax operations.
Initially announced in April 2020, the film sees Vaani Kapoor taking over the lead role from Ileana D’Cruz. The official teaser is expected to debut alongside Salman Khan’s upcoming film “Sikandar,” which is scheduled for release on March 30.
