A traffic incident transpired yesterday at approximately 2 PM on National Highway 37, specifically on the Ghagharajan bridge in Lakhowjan, Bokakhat.
BOKAKHAT: A traffic incident occurred yesterday around 2 PM on National Highway 37 at the Ghagharajan bridge in Lakhowjan, Bokakhat. Two motorcyclists sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision. Tragically, one of the injured, Rajiv Sahu (28 years old) from Daigroang, Golaghat, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Bokakhat Kamlabari Civil Sub-Divisional Hospital. The other motorcyclist, Suraj Goyal, was subsequently referred to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital for further medical care.
The collision happened when a Royal Enfield motorcycle with the registration number S03E7646, traveling from Bokakhat to Daigroang, collided head-on with an oil tanker bearing the registration number WBSETF7773. The Bokakhat Police have since confiscated the tanker involved in the incident.
