In the Guwahati region, which encompasses students from eight northeastern states, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) reported that 84.14% of class X students and 86.32% of class XII students successfully passed the 2024-25 examinations.
The results were announced today. Notably, Assam performed well in both class X and XII, achieving pass rates that exceed the national averages. However, the Guwahati region’s 84.14% pass rate for class X is the lowest in the nation, with the Trivandrum region leading at 99.79%. In Assam, 22,516 out of 23,668 candidates who sat for the Class X examination were successful, resulting in a pass percentage of 95.13%, surpassing the national average of 93.66%. For class XII, 53,212 out of 63,635 candidates from the Guwahati region passed, while in Assam, 16,724 out of 18,497 candidates were successful, yielding a pass percentage of 90.41%, which is above the national average of 88.39%.
