BOKO: Allegations of misconduct have emerged against a teacher at Tarabari Majalia (Middle) School in Boko, leading to a police investigation and public outcry.
Sources have reported that four guardians, along with members of the Tarabari Youth Club, submitted a written complaint at the Boko police station against Nur Islam, a teacher at the institution in question. The complaint alleges that Islam has repeatedly physically harassed female students over the past few months, purportedly taking advantage of classroom environments to engage in inappropriate conduct.
The issue was brought to light after concerned guardians took action and alerted local authorities. Initial findings indicate that additional students may have experienced similar treatment, necessitating further investigation. Nur Islam, who resides in Balijhar Shuktatari, is reportedly evading capture. The police have initiated a search operation to locate him. Officials have promised that appropriate legal measures will be implemented based on the investigation’s findings. This incident has raised alarm among parents and education stakeholders, who are calling for enhanced monitoring and accountability measures in schools to protect student welfare.
