SIVASAGAR: The tea industry in Assam has achieved a remarkable milestone as the Attabarie Tea Estate, situated in Demow, Sivasagar, has been recognized as the world’s best Black CTC tea at the World Tea Championship 2025.
This prestigious accolade was awarded during the World Tea Expo Awards in Las Vegas, where exceptional teas from around the globe were celebrated. A subsidiary of the Luxmi Group, Attabarie received this honor for its CTC black tea, reinforcing Assam’s status as a prominent player in the international tea market.
The timing of this award coincides with the 200th anniversary of Assam Tea, underscoring the region’s rich heritage and dedication to producing high-quality tea. Following the announcement, the atmosphere at the Attabarie Tea Estate was filled with joy and pride, as management organized a celebration to honor the diligent tea workers, distributing sweets as a token of appreciation for their hard work and commitment to crafting award-winning tea.
