In Nagaon, a young woman named Kalpana Das from the village of Senchowa Kalangpar has been administering herbal treatments for severe cancer cases. Following the passing of her father, Lt Sukur Das, a prominent lawyer in the Nagaon Bar Association in 2022, Kalpana has taken up her father’s mantle, providing care to cancer patients from various districts in Assam, as well as from neighboring states and other regions of India, including West Bengal, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Bangalore. Reports indicate that numerous patients who have undergone her treatment have shown signs of recovery.
Kalpana’s commitment to offering herbal medicine for cancer has instilled hope in many afflicted by this grave illness. Her work has garnered significant recognition, attracting individuals from distant locations seeking her knowledge. It is noteworthy that the National Biodiversity agency has officially recognized and approved her herbal treatment for cancer. During his lifetime, Sukur Das authored a comprehensive book on herbal medicine, detailing his findings and capturing the interest of people nationwide. In this publication, he described how he discovered the treatment in a dream and achieved remarkable results when applied to certain cancer patients.
