Rashmi Rekha Kakoti, who secured victory in the recent Panchayat elections representing the Mohura Zila Parishad under Bokakhat Samazila as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has made a formal transition to the Congress party.
In a statement to this correspondent, she expressed her commitment to undertake the responsibilities assigned to her by the Congress in the near future. Notably, Rashmi has a history of public service, having previously held the position of vice-president of the Golaghat Zila Parishad.
