The Bokakhat Book Fair 2025, along with the Art Discourse and Drama Festival, successfully concluded on Wednesday at the Bokakhat Natya Mandir, showcasing a rich blend of intellectual, cultural, linguistic, literary, and artistic expressions.
Organized by the Pryas Adhyayan Chakra and supported by the engaged citizens of Bokakhat, the festival culminated in a poignant performance of the much-discussed play ‘Neeta Ambani,’ adapted from a story by Apu Bharadwaj, which left the audience in a reflective mood. Over its five-day duration, starting on March 22, the book fair attracted a remarkable turnout of book enthusiasts, highlighting its importance within the community.
Throughout the event, students from various local educational institutions were actively involved, including a cleanliness initiative led by Bokakhat Higher Secondary School students at the fairground. Additionally, a discussion on ‘Women and Gender Diversity’ was held in honor of Chandraprabha Saikiani and Kamla Bhasin, featuring insights from gender rights activist Bandita Mrina and renowned writer Juri Bora Borgohain.
