TINSUKIA: In an exciting development for cricket enthusiasts in Assam, Tinsukia is poised to host its inaugural TATA IPL Fan Park as part of the IPL Fan Parks 2025 initiative organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
This announcement was made on Thursday, March 20, representing a pivotal moment for sports fans in the area. The 2025 edition of the IPL Fan Parks will encompass 50 cities across 23 states and one union territory, providing an exceptional cricket viewing experience for fans outside of traditional stadium settings.
The Fan Parks will operate over 10 weekends, commencing on March 22 and concluding on May 25, transforming this period into a nationwide cricket celebration. Tinsukia joins a roster of new cities, including Dimapur, Kakinada, Karaikal, Rohtak, Purulia, and Manbhum, all of which will experience the vibrant atmosphere of IPL Fan Parks for the first time.
To provide a festive atmosphere for attendees of all ages, each Fan Park will feature live match broadcasts on large LED screens, complemented by music, entertainment, food courts, children’s play areas, virtual batting and bowling zones, cheer-o-meters, replica dugouts, and 360° photo booths. In other news, the Rajasthan Royals have declared that Riyan Parag will captain the team for the initial three matches of IPL 2025, while the regular captain, Sanju Samson, will resume his leadership role once he has fully recovered.
