On March 15, the historic town of Sivasagar joined the global community in commemorating World Consumer Rights Day. The event was organized by the Sivasagar District Grahak Suraksha Samiti at the Nikunjalata Chaliha Smriti Anganwadi Shishu Vidyalay located in Amolapatty, Sivasagar. A formal meeting took place during this occasion, presided over by educationist Jyotiprasad Dutta. In his address to the attendees, Pranjal Rajguru, the General Secretary of the Sivasagar District Grahak Suraksha Samiti and a senior journalist, underscored the various challenges that consumers encounter in their everyday lives. Numerous speakers highlighted the significance of consumer awareness and elaborated on the initiatives implemented by the Grahak Suraksha Samiti aimed at protecting consumer rights and resolving grievances.
