KALAIGAON: On Monday, a farewell was held for Bubul Saharia, a retiring teacher from Balipara Krishak Mukti High School, who officially retired on February 28. Saharia was honored with a gamosa, seleng, xorai, a citation, and a collection of books. The event featured an open meeting presided over by Shamsuj Zaman, an Assistant Teacher at the school, and was attended by both students and their guardians. The proceedings commenced with a welcome address by Assistant Teacher Nazrul Hussain. The occasion was further distinguished by the presence of chief guests including Assistant Teacher Saimon Basumatary, social worker Mahendra Boro, journalist Arun Sarma, and Ujjal Kr Das.
During the event, the retiring teacher shared insights regarding his 25 years of teaching experience and the social environment he encountered throughout his career.
