CBI concludes the investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, stating that there is no evidence of criminal activit

After a comprehensive four-year investigation, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has released a closure report indicating that no evidence of murder has been discovered. This report pertains to two cases: the allegations made by Sushant Rajput’s father against his former girlfriend and actress Rhea Chakraborty, as well as Rhea’s counterclaims against Sushant’s family, as reported by various media outlets.

The closure report follows the CBI’s involvement in the case concerning the actor’s death. Sushant Rajput, who was 34 years old, was found deceased in his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020. His unexpected passing shocked his fans, many of whom suspected foul play. Speculations involving black magic, drug use, and other questionable activities led to the case being handed over to the CBI.

The CBI assumed control of the investigation from the Bihar Police in August 2020. Their findings concluded that there was no evidence of murder in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, which is now classified as a suicide. Rhea Chakraborty and her family have been exonerated of any alleged misconduct.

The CBI has cleared all individuals named in the two FIRs related to the case, including Rhea Chakraborty, her parents, and her brother. A forensic team from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) also determined that Sushant Rajput’s death was not a homicide but a suicide. Following his death, the Bihar Police initiated a case of abetment to suicide based on a complaint filed by his father, KK Singh, in Patna.

The actor’s family accused Ms. Chakraborty of causing him mental distress, administering medication, financially exploiting him, and being implicated in his death. In response to the closure announcement, Rhea Chakraborty’s attorney, Satish Maneshinde, expressed appreciation to the CBI for their thorough investigation of all facets of the case. He remarked, “During the pandemic, everyone was captivated by television and social media due to the lack of events occurring in the country.”

Innocent individuals were pursued and showcased in front of the media and investigative bodies. It is my hope that such a situation does not occur again in any case. Rhea Chakraborty endured immense suffering and spent 27 days in jail without any wrongdoing on her part until she was granted bail by Justice Sarang V Kotwal.
