Three unidentified individuals opened fire outside the home of controversial YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Sector 57 of Gurugram, Haryana, early on Sunday morning. According to the police, the incident transpired at approximately 5:30 AM when masked assailants discharged over two dozen rounds before fleeing the scene. Notably, Elvish Yadav was not present at his residence during the shooting, and there were no reported injuries, as stated by PRO Gurugram Police Sandeep Kumar. “Three masked individuals fired shots outside the residence of YouTuber and Big Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram’s Sector 57. The event occurred around 5:30 AM, with more than a dozen rounds being fired. Elvish Yadav was not at home at the time of the shooting,” Sandeep Kumar informed news agency ANI. Meanwhile, Elvish Yadav’s father, Ram Avtar Yadav, confirmed that three assailants fired approximately 25 to 30 rounds at their residence in Gurugram. “The police are performing their duties effectively. Our family was at home during the shooting incident. I was asleep when it happened. We trust that the police are handling the situation appropriately. About 25-30 rounds were fired. CCTV footage shows three assailants, with two being clearly identifiable,” he stated, according to news agency PTI.
According to a report by India Today, police officers quickly arrived at the scene to gather forensic evidence and have commenced reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity. Officials have confirmed that legal measures have been initiated, and a more thorough investigation will begin once a formal complaint from the family is filed. The 27-year-old Elvish Yadav gained fame as a YouTuber before winning Bigg Boss OTT 2 in 2023. He boasts a substantial digital fanbase and has also featured in various music albums and films. However, Elvish Yadav was apprehended by Noida Police last year in connection with an alleged case involving the use of snake venom at rave parties.
