Emraan Hashmi recently celebrated his 46th birthday, and to commemorate this special occasion, he has gifted his fans with the announcement of a sequel to his beloved film, Awarapan. Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Mukesh Bhatt, Awarapan was released in Indian theaters on June 29, 2007.
In a delightful surprise for his audience, Hashmi unveiled the sequel through a teaser. This brief clip showcases a montage of images from the original film and reveals the release date: April 3, 2026. Accompanied by Hashmi’s voiceover and a song from the 2007 film, “Tera Mera Rishta,” the teaser is likely to stir feelings of nostalgia among fans. In sharing the teaser, he wrote, “Bas mujhe kuch aur der zinda rakh… #Awarapan2 in cinemas, 3rd April 2026. #Awarapan2.” The teaser concludes with the phrase, “Awarapan 2, The journey continues,” suggesting that the sequel will pick up where the first film left off.
Following the announcement, excited fans began to express their enthusiasm.
