The Mumbai Police apprehended an individual who issued a death threat against Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. Authorities received a communication indicating that a contract had been placed for his assassination. The caller informed the police that he had been contracted by the owner of a private security firm, who allegedly supplied him with a firearm and a sum of Rs 2 lakh to execute the plan.
In response to the threat, the Mumbai Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) and traced the call to Kapurthala, Punjab, where the suspect was taken into custody. The individual has been identified as 35-year-old Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh, who is believed to have fabricated the entire scheme. Manish reportedly harbored resentment towards his employers due to disciplinary actions taken against him for frequent absences from work. He sought to retaliate and tarnish his employer’s reputation by making the false threat implicating his superiors.
The Khar Police have charged him under IPC Sections 353(2), 212, and 217 for disseminating false information and attempting to provoke fear and disorder. Meanwhile, Tiger Shroff remains unfazed by the incident and is currently focused on his forthcoming film, Baaghi 4. Directed by A Harsha and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Baaghi 4 features Sanjay Dutt, Harnaaz Sandhu, and Sonam Bajwa, and is scheduled for release in theaters on September 5, 2025.
