Jairam Ramesh said the AIUDF chief was the mouthpiece of the BJP

Congress Top leaders have hit back at AIUDF head Badruddin Ajmal after claiming
senior Assam leaders “swapped bags” with Prime Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma just after midnight.
Jairam Ramesh, a member of the Rajya Sabha and a senior parliamentary leader,
reacted sharply to Ajmal`s comments, saying the leader of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF)
said he was working for the BJP. In a statement, Mr Ramesh said Mr Ajmal said
he was a spokesman for the BJP, as well as other parties such as the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen.
