Meritorious students who excelled in the recently announced HSLC and HS examinations were honored during a public meeting organized by the Sonitpur district Magar Sangha in collaboration with the Jamuguri branch committee of Magar Sangha. This event took place at the Magar Sangha bhawan situated in Agripam, located in the northern part of Jamugurihat on Tuesday, with Dilip Kapsaki, the President of the district committee, presiding over the meeting.
The distinguished students received gamosa, a citation, and a collection of books as tokens of recognition. During the public meeting, Arman Thapa, recently appointed as a military advocate, was also honored by the organizers. The event featured Chhatraman Subba, who has received the translation prize from Sahitya Akademi, as a guest speaker, while Rekhraj Purbasane, the President of the state committee, attended as the chief guest. The program was graced by the presence of retired Colonel Prasad Thapa, Sanjay Rana, Kiran Alley, Kishor Thapa, Sanjiv Rana, and others. All proceedings were managed by Bikash Samal, the Secretary of the district committee. According to a source, a total of fifty meritorious students were recognized by the organizers.
