Narendra Modi govt’s plan 7 lakh houses to be given free dish TVs

The central government will spend Rs 2,539 crore to move forward with the condition of the news and entertainment channels Doordarshan (DD) and All India Radio (Air). The choice was taken at a cabinet meeting. Under Broadcast Infrastructure and Network Development (BIND), the objective of the government is to bring the proper news, instruction and amusement to the masses. Bind has been released by the government’s Financial Issues Committee from 2021-22 to 2025-26. The government has said it’ll too make numerous roundabout employment openings.

The government will set up around 7 lakh DD-free dishes in remote, border and tribal areas of the country. Under this scheme, the government will extend either home or DTH directly. In these changes, better quality content will be created, so that it can be liked by more and more people. Old studio equipment and OB vans will be replaced. Currently, 36 TV channels are run under Doordarshan. Out of these, 28 are regional channels. At the same time, AIR has 500 broadcasting stations.
