About Porikshit Dutta
Porikshit Dutta is a successful businessman of Golaghat District in Assam and served as the Vice President of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA). As the serving vice president of the state since 2022, Mr. Dutta has done lots of development in sports sectors at the district and state levels.
Early Life and Education of Porikshit Dutta
Porikshit Dutta was born on 8 March 1977 at kamarbandha in Golaghat District of Assam. His father, Shri Robin Dutta was a teacher at the Bhaskar Senior Basic School, Kamarbandha, Golaghat District and his mother Smti Jaya Dutta also worked as a government servant in Education Department under Assam Govt.
Porikshit Dutta started his academic life at Kamarbandha then went to Golaghat Bezbarua Higher Secondary School in Golaghat. He graduated from Arya College, Guwahati, Assam. He completed a master’s in the Assamese language from Dibrugarh University, Assam.
Political Career of Porikshit Dutta
Porikshit Dutta started his political career in 1991 joining the All Assam Student Union (AASU). He was selected as a district president of AASU under Golaghat district in 2004 to 2009. Porikshit Dutta has come to the mainstream political world joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a Sate Community Executive member in 2018. Now he is also working as a Sports Cell Co-Convener, at Assam Pradesh BJP.
Mr. Dutta was always interested in sports and promoting and inspiring new generations of youth with his level of power. For long period, he has been associated with Golaghat District Sports Association as a Vice President from 2007 to 2020, and now he is associated as Joint Secretary. As an achievement in the sports field, he has been appointed as a Vice –President of the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) for a period till 2022.
He is also culturally associated with the permanent General Secretary of 47 years old Kendriya Rongali Bihu Committee, Golaghat, Assam as well as Join Secretary of the Film Fraternity of Assam, a community of Assamese cinema workers which working towards pushing Assamese cinema ahead.

Mr. Porikshit Dutta is always inspired by the values of the national life of Assam for four long decades, the flag bearer of the indigenous people of Assam – from where he learned the first lessons of social life. By his own inspiration, he is a socially active figure in his district and also socially popular for his selfless service to society. He is the president of Uttaran a Social Organisation and involving in various social activities. The Uttaran arranges different activities like blood donation camps, flood relief, and library establishment for the poor under the guidance of Mr. Dutta several times.
