The Secondary Education Board (SEBA) has decided to cancel up to 105 private/venture school affiliations effective March 31, 2023. Therefore, after April 1st, these schools will no longer be able to enroll students in Class IX. 2023. According to SEBA,, out of 294 schools, 41 had consistently poor performance over the past five years. Notifications of this kind were sent out in June and July last year, but up to 107 private/venture schools have not responded,” SEBA said in a notification. However, for the remaining 105 schools that did not respond to communications about the cause of the complaint, the Board determined that they were not interested in improving results.
The 105 schools distributed district wise are Chalaideo, Hirakandhi, Karimganj, Nalbari, Chirang. Goalpara, Hojai, Majuli, Udalguri, baksa, kachal, biswanath, west kalbi anlong, kalbi anlong, nagaon, Dhubri, Barpeta, Dima Hasao, Sivasagar, Kamrup and Morigaon, Bongaigaon, Jorhat, Sonitpur, Goragat, Kamlap’s, Dibrugarh’s, Kokrajhar and Tinskia.
