Assamese singer Shatabdi Bora has announced that she will not be performing on stage with fellow artist Zubeen Garg during the upcoming Rongali Bihu celebrations. This decision comes ahead of the festivities, which are set to begin on April 14, 2025. In previous years, Bora and Garg have collaborated on several memorable performances during Rongali Bihu. Their joint renditions of traditional Assamese songs have been well-received by audiences. For instance, their live performance of “Din Jole Rati Jole” at Barshangaon Rongali Bihu garnered significant attention.
Hile the specific reasons for Bora’s decision have not been publicly disclosed, fans are hopeful that both artists will continue to contribute individually to the cultural vibrancy of the festival. Rongali Bihu, also known as Bohag Bihu, marks the Assamese New Year and is celebrated with traditional music, dance, and community gatherings across Assam.
