Television actor Aly Goni has voiced significant concern upon discovering that his family in Jammu has been directly affected by the recent drone strikes amidst escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. As cross-border conflicts escalate, Goni utilized social media to convey his distress, highlighting the fear and uncertainty experienced by civilians in areas impacted by conflict. In his post, the ‘Bigg Boss’ actor, currently abroad, articulated his sorrow, criticizing the glorification of war on social media platforms while innocent civilians suffer the consequences of the conflict. On Friday, Goni posted several photographs with his family and remarked, ‘Sleepless and devastated, I am stuck outside India while my family in Jammu endures the attack from last night.
My entire family, including children and parents, is facing the terror of drones and unrest, yet some individuals romanticize this war from the safety of their homes, sharing posts on social media. It is not easy for those living near the border. I am grateful to our Indian Air Force and Army, praying for safety and peace.’ Hailing from Jammu, Aly Goni also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Indian Air Force following the recent series of drone and missile attacks by Pakistan targeting Jammu. He revealed that he has been extremely worried about the safety of his family back home. Despite his anxiety, Aly felt immense relief upon receiving confirmation that his family is safe, attributing this to the vigilance and prompt actions of the Indian Armed Forces amid the escalating cross-border tensions. He shared on his X handle, ‘I am currently shooting outside India, and my family is in Jammu. I was extremely distressed here… thankfully, everyone is safe.’
