SILCHAR: Amid heightened tensions following India’s military action against Pakistan, a significant incident unfolded at the Bangladesh border where a drone was discovered abandoned in the Charbazar area near Sribhumi town.
This discovery took place shortly after the Indian Army executed strikes on terrorist camps across the Line of Control in Pakistan. According to police reports, the drone was located unattended on the property of one Ajay Kuri. The police swiftly confiscated the device and transported it to the Sribhumi Police Station for further analysis.
SP Partha Protim Das suggested that the drone may have been utilized by individuals from across the border. Authorities have not dismissed the possibility that the device was employed to surveil the strategically important region of the bordering district.
An investigation has been initiated into this incident, which has heightened tensions in Sribhumi, a locality that shares both land and river borders with Bangladesh.
