TEZPUR: The esteemed artist and recipient of the President’s Award, Ratumoni Das from Tezpur, has rendered a heartfelt homage to the late music icon Zubeen Garg through a remarkable acrylic painting. Spanning 2 feet by 2.5 feet, the piece exquisitely encapsulates the essence and charm of the cherished singer with its vibrant colors and expressive brushwork. Das, recognized for her expertise in fine art, remarked that only an artist can genuinely grasp the emotional significance behind a work of art. “Through my painting, I have endeavored to preserve Zubeen Garg’s spirit. Although he has departed from us physically, his music and creative legacy will eternally reside in our hearts,” he stated.
In describing the artwork as his personal tribute of respect and affection, the artist also urged Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma to take decisive measures in revealing the truth surrounding Zubeen Garg’s premature passing.
Das voiced his apprehension regarding the escalating unrest and negativity associated with the incident, advocating for a prompt resolution to the mystery of his death and the restoration of peace and dignity within society and across social media platforms.
