On the same day, two Indian Air Force fighter planes crashed. One is a Sukhoi SU 30 and another is a Mirage 3000. The accident happened during training. An Air Force pilot also died in the accident, according to Air Force sources. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed deep sorrow at the accident and the loss of life in the incident. The two pilots who were on board were ejected from the plane but were taken by helicopter to hospital after being seriously injured. The Air Force secretary has ordered an advanced investigation into the accident.
